New delhi, Aug 10: Stars from Bollywood and Televsion will submerge for a noble cause to alleviate the sufferings of Uttarakhand victims.




Bollwood celebrities like Amitabh bachchanm, Salman Khan, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Lata Mangeshkar, Ajay Devgn, Kajol, Anil Kapoor, AR Rahman, Boman Irani, Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy, Pritam, Prasoon Joshi, Mukesh Bhatt, Ayushmann Khurana will run in a 7-hour on-air Marathion organized by a television channel network to raise funds for the vitims of the Uttarakhand flood victims.

While stars from the television shows like Diya Aur Baati Hum, Pyaar Ka Dard Hai Meetha Meetha Pyaara Pyaara, Saraswatichandra, Savdhan India, Devon Ke Dev Mahadev and India's Dancing Superstar will also be the part of the initiative.

Amitabh Bachchan is an interview to a daily news said, “The noble initiative is an opportunity for the entire Hindi film industry to stand by the very people who have showered us with unconditional love and have made us who we are.”
"We have come together for fellow men who suffered the agonising pain that this unprecedented calamity brought with itself," he added.

Big B will lend his voice to recite from Prasoon's poetry, set to Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy's music during the performance, titled 'Saath Hain Hum Uttarakhand', which is a joint initiative by Star India, Wizcraft, the Film.

Meanwhile on Tuesday, Madhuri Dixit shot for the promo of the initiative titled Saath Hai Hum Uttarakhand. Moved by the heartwrenching stories of children who lost their parents in the catastrophe, she is keen to return the smiles to Uttarakhand's children.

Amitabh Bachchan, Abhay Deol, Neha Dhupia and Bipasha Basu have also shot for the promos. Other names likely to be associated for the cause include Ajay Devgn, Kajol, Anil Kapoor and John Abraham.

The source adds, "The ad revenue generated during the telecast will be channelled to not-for-profit bodies that are working to restore normalcy in the hilly region. The stars and all those associated with the on-ground event for the performances have done it gratis to espouse the Uttarakhand cause."
