Mumbai, Jun 10: Actor Ravi Kishan, who is one of the contestants on the forthcoming season of dance show ‘Jhalak Dikhla Jaa', says he will never leave Bhojpuri cinema and wants to retain his identity as the superstar there.
“How can I say good bye to Bhojpuri films. It is that industry that gave me name and from there I came to ‘Bigg Boss'. I am a Bhojpuri superstar and I will like to be known like that... that is my identity,” Kishan told PTI.
“Bhojpuri cinema to me is like my mother and I can never leave it. I will never say no to my mother. It has given me everything in life, so no matter how big a film I do I will always be a Bhojpuri superstar,” he said.
Earlier, Ravi had said he was tired doing the same kind of work that after acting in 165 movies for nearly a decade.
But now he has an interesting mix of Bollywood films waiting to hit the screens, including ‘Zila Ghaziabad' with Sanjay Dutt and Vivek Oberoi, ‘Mohalla Assi' with Sunny and ‘Issaq' with Prateik and a Yash Raj film that he signed recently.
As of now, Kishan is looking forward to JDJ-5.
“I am here to improve myself in dancing. I am here to impress my daughter Reva. I just want my daughter to say wow when I dance...I don't understand competition and all. I am fantastic in desi dance but I would like to learn other dance forms. I have surrendered myself for this show,” he said.
This is the second time he is participating in a reality show.
