New Delhi: This Friday is going to be really busy for moviebuffs as two much awaited movies - Badlapur and Qissa are hitting the screens. As both the films are intense and performance oriented, it would be difficult for moviegoers to choose one among these two.
If one has Varun Dhawan then another has Irrfan Khan. But it would be exciting to see, who wins the box office battle this weekend.
Badlapur - The film starring Varun Dhawan, Nawazuddin Siddiqui Huma Qureshi, Yami Gautam, Divya Dutta and Radhika Apte is based on Raghu (Varun Dhawan) who witnesses his wife (Misha) and son being killed during a robbery. And after 15 years later, 40-year-old Raghu finds out who killed his family and his journey of taking revenge from that killer begins.
The movie apart from strong performances by Varun Dhawan, Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Divya Dutta is also laced by some passionate intimate scenes and full-blown kisses bewteen Varun Dhawan and his leading ladies.
Badlapur is directed Sriram Raghavan, written by Sriram Raghavan and Arijit Biswas. Cinematography by Anil Mehta seems to be strong and music by Sachin Jigar is a hit. Jee Karda sung by Divya Kumar and Jeena Jeena by Atif Aslam are already topping the charts.
Irrfan Khan's award winning film - Qissa is also releasing this Friday. Starring Irrfan Khan, Tillotama Shome, Tisca Chopra and Rasika Dugal is a crtitically acclaimed movie that has been screened at various national and international film festivals.
The movie that has won the Netpac Award for World or International Asian Film in the Contemporary World Cinema section at the 2013 Toronto International Film Festival is a heart wrenching story of a girl, who is raised as a boy, works as a driver and is finally married to another girl.
The film shows the anguish of the girl who cross dresses as a boy and faces trouble while treating herself as a man and also not knowing how being a woman is.
Qissa's biggest advantage is its actors, intriguing story, deep dialogues and screenplay, which makes it a must watch.
