'Lootera', a classic period romantic film is being directed by Vikramaditya Motwane of 'Udaan' fame.
The film produced by Phantom Films and Balaji Motion Pictures, was earlier scheduled for a release this October, which was pushed to February 14 next year and now has been further pushed for March 29 next year.
“'Lootera', being among our ambitious epic projects, will be released on March 29 next year, which is on Easter,” Balaji Motion Pictures, CEO, Tanuj Garg said.
The reason in pushing the film ahead is primarily due to the lead actor Ranveer Singh hurting his back while shooting for 'Lootera' and due to his jam-packed schedule that the makers decided to postpone the release date.
Ranveer had given his dates for the month of January and February to Sanjay Leela Bhansali's film 'Ram Leela'.
This would make him unavailable for the promotions of 'Lootera', hence the makers decided to postpone its release.
Also, because of heavy snowfall the shoot of 'Lootera' had got delayed earlier.
