bo report khamoshiyan and hawaizaada fail baby dominates in its second week

New Delhi: We earlier told you that if the new releases don't perform well, the Akshay Kumar starrer BABY will continue its dominance in its second week and so it is. The Neeraj Pandey directorial on its second Friday collected better than its new competitors Hawaizaada and Khamoshiyan making itself the no. 1 flick at box office in week 2 again.

The movie, which also stars Taapsee Pannu, Rana Daggubati, Anupam Kher in the pivotal roles has earned Rs 2.85 cr on its 8th day, takes its total to Rs 66.67 cr nett in India.

Tweets trade analyst and film critic Taran Adarsh, “Baby [Week 2] Fri 2.85 cr. Grand total: Rs 66.67 cr. India biz.”

Bhatt's romantic-thriller Khamoshiyan hasn't received good reviews from critics and on its opening day has just managed to collect Rs 1.92 cr nett in India.

“Khamoshiyan Fri Rs 1.92 cr. India biz”, confirms Adarsh. The movie which stars Ali Fazal, Sapna Pabbi and Gurmeet Choudhary has failed to terrify its audience but the intimate content in the movie could be something that may drive audience towards theatres in the coming days.

The box office condition for Ayushmann Khurrana and Pallavi Sharda starrer ‘Hawaizaada' is worse as the movie has failed to even touch Rs 1 cr mark.

Directed by Vibhu Puri, Hawaizaada, which scales the life of an Indian scientist Shivkar Bapuji Talpade, has made merely Rs 75 lacs on Day 1. The movie too is given thumbs down by critics and in the coming days it has to heavily rely upon the word of mouth publicity to make a respectable total at box office.

BABY's chances to enter Rs 100 cr club has increased with the two new flicks taking a back seat. If on an average it makes Rs 2 cr a day, the movie would reach around Rs 80 cr by the end of its second week. Moreover, its third week dominance will depend upon the new releases.
