New Delhi: Ayushmann Khurrana, who is set to share the screen space with Parineeti Chopra in ‘Meri Pyari Bindu', has made shocking confession about the existence of casting couch in Bollywood.
In a recent interview to a leading news agency, the anchor-turned actor spoke about an incident he experienced while trying to make an entry into the industry. Ayushmann revealed how he was asked for sexual favours by a casting director while he was working in the television industry.
He said, "In fact, I have been through that initially when I was part of the industry. I was a TV anchor, so a casting director directly told me that I would have to do it. So, I told him that if I was not straight, I might have given it a thought, but I can't do it. So yeah, the casting couch exists, but eventually, it's your talent or potential as an actor or performer which would last. You don't need to give in to such stuff."

Ayushmann further expressed that personally he would not judge anyone if they take up the offer to become a part of tinsel town. However, he added that it is unethical on part of the casting director to ask for such favours and only talent is enough to prove oneself.
It is not the first that time that an actor has spoken about the dark side of the industry. Many A-listers including Ranveer Singh, Kangana Ranaut and Kalki Koechlin have confessed facing casting couch in Bollywood.
