However, there is someone who preferred to skip this grand celebration hosted by ‘Khan' family despite specially being invited by the mom-to-be.
It is Salman Khan's ex-flame Katrina Kaif. As per reports, Katrina was invited for the function but she ditched it to avoid media attention and instead promoted her movie ‘Fitoor' at the Kala Ghoda Arts Festival.

The lady has been in the limelight ever since her break-up with Ranbir Kapoor. Moreover, her growing proximity with ex-flame Salman Khan is also catching the media attention. The two have been spotted together quite a number of times in the last fortnight and the late night drive is the recent example of their bonding.
This caused for rounds of media speculations about the two former love birds uniting again and Katrina was bombarded with questions about Ranbir and Salman wherever she goes.
It seems, in order to avoid media glare, Katrina Kaif chose to stay away from Khan's family gathering at Arpita's baby shower celebration, which was held on Sunday at a five star venue in Mumbai.
