Mumbai, Apr 27: Arjun Rampal, who would be reprising the role of Pran in the remake of ‘Zanjeer', says, he would like to do something special for the veteran actor, who played the iconic character of Sher Khan in the original.
“I haven't started shooting for ‘Zanjeer'. Once I finish Prakash Jha's film then I would go for a holiday with family and then start ‘Zanjeer'.
All I can say is that I have a cameo kind of part in ‘Zanjeer'..I have 10-12 days of work in this film. I play Pran's sahib's part,” Arjun told reporters here, yesterday.
“It is a wonderful part. I will try and do it with the best of my ability,” he said.
In the original, Pran, played the role of a Pathan and had a typical look with long hair and kohl.
“I don't know what my look would be in the film. I really don't know. I want to do something special for Pran saheb as I loved the role when I first saw it when I was a kid,” Arjun said.
The remake version of ‘Zanjeer' is directed by Apoorva Lakhia and stars Priyanka Chopra, Ram Charan Teja, Arjun Rampal, Prakash Raj and Mahi Gill.
“The script of this film is really nice. Apoorva (director) is a good friend and he has got his angle…his take for it (film). I am looking forward to it,” Arjun said.
