New Delhi: Anushka Sharma's next thriller ‘NH10' is being praised a lot for its prosthetics and how it is done with perfection is a rare feat in Bollywood.
The Bollywood films mostly turn out to be over dramatized because of its make up and prosthetics. But in Anushka Sharma's ‘NH10' the prosthetics are almost invisible and natural. Romy Angevin, an experienced make-up designer from Paris has done prosthetics for the film. She has worked in a number of films and plays in her career.
‘NH10' is not a romantic film and the script demanded almost real and invisible prosthetics that would suit the action sequence. The director of the film, Navdeep Singh told a leading daily, "It's a new-age thriller and the prosthetics helped to break stereotypes. Anushka is a star but in this film we did not want to glamorize her at all. We wanted the scratches, bruises and gashes she sustains to look convincing as its a very real film.”
Talking about the need of an experienced make artist like Romy Angevin, Navdeep says, “That's why a specialist in make-up and design was brought in. Romy's experiences on stage and European films give the film a world cinema look."
The film tracks the journey of a young couple, trying to get away from the city to take a break from fast paced life and how the trip takes unexpected turns. Blood and bruises are important part of the film.
PK actress will be seen in a rugged de-glam look in the film that is also being co-produced by her.
Also starring Neil Bhoopalam and being produced by Vikramaditya Motwane, Anurag Kashyap, Vikas Bahl and Suni Lulla, ‘NH10' is set to release on March 6.
