Indore: He may have spent nearly three decades in the Hindi film industry and done some memorable roles, but Bollywood veteran Anupam Kher thinks he has not yet reached even the “interval” stage of his career.
“I have to continue for the next 30 years. I have not yet reached the interval stage of my career,” he said while talking to reporters here.
The 59-year-old actor was here to promote his upcoming film “The Shaukeens”, which will hit the theatres on November 7. He was accompanied by actors Annu Kapoor and Piyush Mishra, who also feature in the comedy flick directed by Abhishek Sharma.
To a query, Kher said he was proud to have started his career with a film like ‘Saaransh', a 1984 Mahesh Bhatt-helmed movie that revolved around an elderly couple trying to come to terms the death of their only son.
“This film keeps me invigorated as an actor,” said the former chairman of Censor Board.
The veteran actor, who is also a TV talk show host, said he would like to feature in a ‘Saaransh'-like film if it is made today.
