Mumbai, July 23 : Anita Advani, the woman who was close to yesteryears' superstar Rajesh Khanna in his last days, has said that she never wanted Khanna's iconic Aashirwaad bungalow, but wanted that it should be converted into a museum.
Speaking to India TV reporter outside her home, Anita Advani said it was Rajesh Khanna's last wish that his bungalow Aashirwad be converted into a museum after his death.
"Aashirwad belongs to the public and it should be dedicated to the public only", she said.
Anita Advani denied charges in the media that she was trying to grab Rajesh Khanna's bungalow, saying these were false allegations.
India TV reporter met Anita Advani as she came out of her 504, Marion Apartment on Waterfield Road.
Initially, Anita Advani was hesitant to speak, but when the reported persisted she said, her legal fight was to ensure that the Aashirwad bungalow is turned into a museum.
"I am not at all greedy about Aashirwad", she said.
Anita Anand had sent the legal notice to Khanna's estranged wife Dimple Kapadia through her lawyer Mridula Kadam.
Anita Anand was the lady who was with Rajesh Khanna in his last days when he remained cut off from his family members.
She was brusquely asked to leave Aashirwad after the Khanna family took over during the last days of the superstar. She was not even asked to join Rajesh Khanna's funeral cortege.
