Amitabh Bachchan too used to fast on Karva Chauth, along with his wife Jaya Bachchan, but this year he couldn't owing it to his bad health conditions.
This year Big B's birthday coincided with Karva Chauth and while addressing the media, the Shahenshah said, ''Earlier even I used to keep Karva Chauth fasts but now due to some physical ailments, I have to take a few medicines, which can only be consumed after having food and my doctors have asked me to not be on an empty stomach, I couldn't keep it this time.''
It needs to be reminded that off-late, senior Bachchan has been falling ill too often. This year, Karva Chauth fell on his 72nd birthday and the actor had a quiet dinner with his family and close friends Anil and Tina Ambani after the celebration at his residence Jalsa.
As the entire Bachchan clan celebrated megastar Amitabh Bachchan‘s birthday, Karva Chauth observation added more to the grandeur of happiness.
While both Jaya and Aishwarya held on to the fast and performed all the rituals, they were joined in by daughter Shweta Bachchan and close friend Tina Ambani at their Mumbai residence.
Jaya Bachchan adorned a beautiful forest green suit while hubby Big B looked his usual self in Indian formals and shawl.
Even though Big B didn't kept fast this time, he looked all dedicated towards his wife throughout the ceremony.
