New Delhi: Bipasha Basu and Karan Singh Grover starrer ‘Alone' collected Rs. 4.5 crore on the second day of its release. Considering the first day's collection of 4.5 crore, the film has grossed Rs. 9 crore in two days, as reported by koimoi.
If ‘Alone' keeps up the same pace, it could end the week with around Rs.15 crore of business.
The film has started slow with average occupancy throughout the country.
Usually the films of this genre do better business in small towns and single screens but the early trends suggest that the occupancy was dull both in multiplexes and single screen theatres.
‘Alone' received average ratings and the viewers have not given it good response either. In the absence of word of mouth publicity, there is a very little chance it would do much business in the rest of the week.
Along with Bhushan Patel's directional ‘Alone,' two other films ‘Crazy Cukkad Family' and ‘Sharafat Gayi Tel Lene' released this Friday. These two films failed disastrously amounting less than a crore in two days.
