New Delhi: Bollywood is a home to several talented actors. While the three Khans- Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan and Aamir Khan are said to be ruling the industry, there are some actors who tend to give the Khans a perfect competition.
One such actor is Akshay Kumar.
A coveted actor in Bollywood, Akshay is quite famous for his love for action and is often referred to as ‘Khiladi' Kumar.
However, the actor recently created a buzz after he agreed to play a villain in Rajnikanth's forthcoming movie ‘Enthiran 2'.
While Akshay is quite happy and excited for ‘Enthiran 2', he was recently quizzed during a media event on why he chose to play the villain in the movie to which he cross questioned the reporter asking that which Bollywood male superstar has signed a South film before, apart from him.
He, reportedly, stated that it's only the heroines who migrate to the South, and not the men. He further explained that he signed ‘Enthiran 2' because he feels it's a very special film and it also has a social message at its core.
Interestingly, megastar Amitabh Bachchan was approached for this role before Akshay, however, Big B denied the role saying his fans wouldn't like it if the icon gets beaten by the hero.
The ‘Holiday' actor also revealed that the shooting of the film has begun and that he will begin shooting his part next month.
He also added that the film has a message in it and he believes in doing films with social message and this is what attracted him to the movie.
While ‘Enthiran 2' will see Akshay in a negative role, it will have superstar Rajnikanth in a double role along with Amy Jackson.
