New Delhi: After the grand success of Robot, fans have been waiting with bated breath to know when the sequel to this movie will arrive. It was revealed a few days ago that actor Akshay Kumar will be the villain opposite Rajnikanth in Robot 2 and if media reports are to be believed, he demanded a whooping Rs 25 crore for it.
Superstar Rajinikanth won hearts with his 2010 movie Robot. The big budget movie was high on VFX, technology and gave something which audiences had never seen before.
For those excited fans, the news that Rajini will soon be starting shooting for the movie, was a grand news.

There had been many speculations about the role of the antagonist, starting from Arnold Schwarzenegger to Hrithik Roshan but then Khiladi Kumar bagged the role.

The movie is being touted to be the highest budgeted film having one around Rs 250 crores. It seems Thalaivaa Rajini is ready to spend money like water to ensure his movie surpasses all the set standards. The movie was earlier called Robot 2 but now it is renamed to Robot 2.0.
