New Delhi: The news of Aishwarya Rai Bachchan back on-screen with her upcoming movie Jazbaa along with actor Irrfan Khan is stale and old.
There is something more to be told and that is that the film is a copy of a South Korean film. As per reports, the maker Sanjay Gupta gave details away of the plot of the film where Bachchan will play a lawyer and Irrfan Khan will play the role of a suspended cop, while John Abraham will have an important cameo.
The plot of Jazbaa bears similarities with a South Korean crime thriller titled Seven Days. Gupta has admitted to buying the remake rights of a film which Jazbaa is based on, but has refused to name the film, but he unwittingly revealed it by disclosing the story.
Meanwhile, this is not the first time Gupta is remaking a foreign film. His past films, including "Kaante", "Plan", "Musaafir" and "Zindaa" were remakes of Hollywood or Korean films.
'Kaante" plot was inspired by three Hollywood films "Reservoir Dogs", "The Usual Suspects" and "Heat".
"Plan" starring Sanjay Dutt was inspired by the Hollywood comedy film "Suicide Kings"."Musafir" was a rip-off of the crime thriller "U Turn", while "Zindaa" was a remake of Korean film "Old Boy".
With ‘Jazbaa' scheduled to begin filming in January 2015, it probably won't be long before the movie hits the theatres.
Aishwarya will be doing some strenuous action-packed stunts in the film for which she will soon undergo special training. Fast & Furious stunt director Spiro Razatos, has been roped in to choreograph action sequence for Aishwarya in the film.
Jazbaa is set in modern day Mumbai and it will be shot across the city. Produced and directed by Sanjay Gupta, Jazbaa is slated to go on floors in January 2015.
