New Delhi: Beautiful actress Aditi Rao Hydari will be seen playing a younger version of Rekha in an upcoming film ‘Fitoor'.
The film ‘Fitoor' is inspired by the famous novel ‘Great Expectations' which was written by iconic nineteenth century novelist Charles Dickens. The novel is a story of a wealthy spinster Miss Havisham who wears a wedding dress and lives in the famous Satis House.
Rekha will portray the character inspired by Miss Havisham in ‘Fitoor'. In the plot of the film a younger version of Rekha's character will be played by Aditi Rao Hydari.
‘Fitoor' traces the journey of an artist Noor which meets the charming Firdaus. Their love story is troubled by an eccentric Begum.
Katrina Kaif will be playing the role of Noor and Firdaus will be portrayed by Aditya Roy Kapur. Rekha will portray the wealthy Begum who causes trouble in their lives. Aditi will be playing the younger version of Rekha in the film.
The actress who had appeared in films like ‘Yeh Saali Zindagi' and ‘Rockstar' was last seen in ‘Khoobsurat' in a cameo.
It will be a great opportunity as well as huge responsibility for Hydari to play Rekha. She will be under great scrutiny for the role.
Aditi Rao belongs to two royal lineages. Her maternal grandfather is Raja J Rameshwar Rao while her paternal grandfather is Muhammad Saleh Akbar Hydari.
‘Fitoor' is directed by ‘Kai Po Che' and ‘Rock On' fame director Abhishek Kapoor. The film produced by Siddharth Roy Kapur is scheduled to release on December 25 2015.
