Mumbai, Jun 10: Clearing the air over whether Bachchan family would attend the 12th International Indian Film Academy (IIFA) awards, Abhishek Bachchan today said he and his wife Aishwarya won't be going to Toronto event.
"Just to clarify.... Neither Aishwarya nor I will be performing or attending IIFA Toronto. Classic case of jumping the gun!," Abhishek said on micro-blogging site twitter.
There was a buzz in B-town that due to some issues between the organisers and Abhishek's father, Amitabh Bachchan last year, the Big B decided not to be a part of the awards function.
Amitabh, who had been the brand ambassador of IIFA awards since its inception in 2000, had tweeted in January this year that, "Not coming to Toronto IIFA... IIFA says my services are not required." PTI
