New Delhi: A buzz is making rounds around B-Town that Aamir was in talks with Karan Johar to play a lead in his film opposite Aishwarya. But unfortunately details didn't work out and Aamir turned down the offer.
According to a report by a leading daily, Aamir and Karan met several times to work out the script and schedule of the film. The multiple meetings between the actor and director did not yield desired result, revealed the daily's sources.
The report suggests that Bachchan bahu, Aishwarya was being roped in to play female lead in the film.
The fans of both Aamir Khan and Karan Johar have been waiting for a collaboration of the duo. Aamir Khan has never worked under Karan Johar in his career spanning more than 25 years.
Aamir is currently busy promoting his upcoming film PK. Aamir plays a very unusual character in the film that also stars Anushka Sharma, Sushant Singh Rajput and Sanjay Dutt in pivotal roles. Directed by Rajkumar Hirani the film is slated for release on December 19.
Coincidentally Aishwarya and Aamir have never worked together. Aishwarya made her Bollywood debut with Aur Pyaar Ho Gaya in 1997. In the career of 17 years she never had the chance to work with Mr. Perfectionist.
Aishwarya Rai who was last seen Sanjay Leela Bhansali's ‘Guzaarish' has bagged a Karan Johar's film. Titled ‘Ae Dil Hai Mushkil,' it will star Ranbir Kapoor in the lead role. Anushka Sharma will also play a pivotal character in the film.
‘Ae Dil Hai Mushkil' is a project Karan has been working for a long time. The film will be shot in New York, London, Paris and New Delhi. It is scheduled to release on June 3, 2016.
