New Delhi: At a recent magazine launch, actor Vivek Oberoi said he doesn't agree with Aamir Khan that there is rising intolerance in the country. At the launch which was held in Mumbai, Vivek said that this country has seen many bad days but has survived everything.
The country is seeing debates around ‘intolerance' for some months now. But the issue did not catch much fire till Bollywood superstars Shah Rukh Khan and Aamir Khan expressed their opinions on the matter.
Speaking at the event, Vivek said, “I respect Aamir Khan. He is a great actor.”
He then added, “This country is very tolerant. It has survived many worse situations. I am proud of being an Indian.”

The day before yesterday, at the Ramnath Goenka Awards for Excellence in Journalism, Aamir had said that the rising intolerance in India had prompted his wife Kiran Rao to urge him to leave the country.
The Krrish 3 actor remarked, “I will not leave this country and go anywhere. I love my nation a lot.”
In Bollywood, Aamir's statement has cost him some friends too. His ‘Andaz Apna Apna' co-star Raveena Tandon disagreed with him and veteran actor Anupam Kher asked when ‘incredible' India became ‘intolerant' India for him.
