Mumbai, April 7: Contrary to reports that a "question mark" hangs over the fate of Raj Kumar Hirani's "PK" following Sanjay Dutt's impending jail term, the dates issue regarding the precious project has been happily sorted out.
Aamir Khan has gone out of his way to allot dates out of turn to Hirani's film to ensure that Sanjay's scenes are completed before the latter's proposed incarceration starts from April 18.
The 53-year-old was sentenced to five years in jail by the Supreme Court March 21 for illegal arms possession during the 1993 Mumbai bomb blasts.
He was asked to surrender in four weeks to serve his remaining term of three-and-half years as he has already spent 18 months in jail.
The shooting for "PK" is expected to take place next week.
Said a close friend of Dutt: "There is no uncertainty about 'PK' or any of Sanju's pending projects. He's done with his portion for Apoorva Lakhia's 'Zanjeer' (remake). Work on 'Policegiri' is almost over too. Sanjay had made it clear that he would shoot for Hirani as soon as Aamir was available. Aamir's dates were the only area of uncertainty."
Aamir, one hears, has quickly given priority dates to "PK".
"Both Sanju and Aamir are very close to Hirani. They'd never allow his project to suffer," said the source.
Aamir's spokesperson confirmed that the star has allotted priority dates to shoot with Sanjay.
