New Delhi, Nov1: For those who aren't aware about this festival, Karva Chauth, it is an annual one-day festival celebrated by Hindu and some Sikh women in North India and parts of Pakistan in which married women fast from sunrise to moonrise for the safety and prolonged existence of their husbands.
Once the moon is visible, it is mandatory for a fasting woman to view its reflection in a vessel filled with water, through a riddle. And even Bollywood is not behind in increasing the popularity of this festival.
