New Delhi: Alia Bhatt and Arjun Kapoor starrer ‘2 States' has struck gold at box office with Rs 60.77 cr collection in just one week and producer Karan Johar was the first person to share his happiness on the social networking site.
Karan who has co-produced the flick with Sajid Nadiadwala, took on the twitter and wrote, “#2states...#2muchlove....thank you on behalf of the very shy and introverted director Abhishek Varman @abhivarman @aliaa08 #Arjun...”
The marital caper showed all the more consistent performance in weekdays at box office with over Rs 5 cr collection on a daily basis.

But now it would get a stiff competition from new releases namely Revolver Rani and Kaanchi which won't take backseats so easily.
It would be interesting to see how these flicks surpass eachother in the coming week.
