Mumbai, Oct 20: Director Abbas-Mustan's much awaited action thriller film ‘Players' will be releasing on January 6 next year.
‘Players' is an upcoming action thriller film directed by Abbas-Mustan.
The film is an official remake of the Hollywood crime thriller ‘The Italian Job'.
“Players releases on the 6th of January 2012,” Bachchan wrote on micro blogging site Twitter.
Earlier, ‘Players' was set to release on 9 December this year with Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor starrer ‘Agent Vinod' and Aditya Chopra's ‘Ladies vs Ricky Bahl', but now the film has been pushed to early January making it the first release of 2012.
The film stars Abhishek Bachchan, Bipasha Basu, Bobby Deol, Sonam Kapoor, Neil Nitin Mukesh, Omi Vaidya and Sikander Kher in pivotal roles.
The film began its initial schedule of shooting on November 9, 2010. The filming was done throughout India, New Zealand and Russia.
