New Delhi: Thrill, fear, love, jealously, insecurities and supernatural elements - Vikram Bhatt's horror film "Raaz 3" offers all this and much more when it releases Friday.
Featuring actors Bipasha Basu, Emraan Hashmi and Esha Gupta, it is a sequel to 2009 film "Raaz - The Mystery Continues", which itself was a sequel to 2002 "Raaz".
The film got an Adult-certificate from the censor board and it will be releasing in 3D to give audiences an edge-of-the-seat experience.
"Raaz 3" is about the struggle of an actor's life to attain fame and success. After Vidya Balan's "The Dirty Picture", it is yet another attempt to bring real life dilemma of actors to the silver screen.
This aspect is being brought on screen through Shanaya (Bipasha), an actress at the height of her success. She is offered best roles and wins all the awards she's nominated for. In addition, she also has a passionate affair with a handsome director Aditya (Emraan).
But as they say, there is a time when all good things must come to end. And Shanaya's career too takes a nose dive when young actress Sanjana (Esha) makes her debut. Suddenly, Shanaya is sidelined and everybody only wants to work with Sanjana.
Soon, Aditya also leaves Shanaya for Sanjana, and Shanaya sees her career fading away and she slowly becomes crazy.
To win her glory back, she turns to black magic and makes it her goal in life to destroy Sanjana and get back the man she loves, Aditya.
Bipasha says she has given her best shot for "Raaz 3" and says she doubts if she can deliver a better performance than this.
"For me, in my filmography of work, this is the most challenging role I have done and I don't think I can get better than this," she said.
The film is produced by Mahesh and Mukesh Bhatt.
