New Delhi: After directing him in multi-starrer ‘Dil Dhadakne Do’, there have been reports that Zoya Akhtar will direct Ranveer Singh in a movie again. For quite a while now grapevine is abuzz that this is Zoya’s ambitious project and is based on the life of Mumbai street rappers.
It was also reported that this will be a two actor movie, and that Ranveer Singh and Ranbir Kapoor might star in it.
However, according to fresh reports, Zoya wanted Bollywood’s Greek God, Hrithik Roshan for the movie. Zoya, has earlier directed Hrithik in Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara and was keen to have him on board.
But, Zoya’s plans went south when Hrithik reportedly refused to do this movie.
A source close to the project told a leading entertainment portal,
“Zoya gave a script narration to Hrithik, and he loved the story. Yet, he surprisingly turned it down. In fact, another filmmaker who had approached the actor with a story is waiting to give him a narration. Hrithik has liked that story too, but hasn’t given time to the filmmaker for a narration. He has wrapped up Mohenjo Daro and the only film he is shooting for right now is Kaabil. Looks like the actor is totally immersed in his home production and will look at other projects only after he completes it.”

Ranveer and Hrithik’s association could have made this movie top-notch. Remember, that time when Hrithik gave a ‘bang-bang’ challenge to Ranveer, asking him to dance on the crowded streets of Mumbai and how he sportingly nailed it.
Well, this is definitely not good news for cine buffs as seeing two handsome hunks on silver screen would have been a treat.
