Shah Rukh Khan starrer Zero Box Office Prediction

One of the most anticipated movies of the year, Zero is set to release on Friday. With Shah Rukh Khan, Anushka Sharma, Katrina Kaif in lead roles, fans have high expectations from this oddly refreshing drama. Aanand L Rai directorial in which Badshah Khan is playing a vertically challenged person Bauaa Singh has sweetness sprinkled all over it. With endearing characters, Aanand L Rai's style of storytelling and beautiful songs, the movie promises to leave an impact on the audience.

As the makers and stars of Zero have said that the movie is all about celebrating life in its own way, we are sure that the story will strike a chord with the audience's heart. SRK is known for experimenting with different kind of roles. Whether it is a grey-shaded character in Raees or lover in his last release Jab Harry Met Sejal, King Khan is leaving no stones unturned to impress his fans. However, if box office records are anything to by, his last couple of films have failed to make good numbers except Raees. So, will Zero set the cash registers ringing and end the drought? Let's know from trade analyst Girish Johar.

5 reasons why every cinema lover should watch Shah Rukh Khan starrer Zero

As per Girish Johar, Zero has managed to make the right kind of noise because of its well-implemented promotional strategy. However, being a non-holiday release, Zero is expected to mint between Rs 25-27 crore.

“Zero is making the right amount of noise among cinephiles. It is being waited with bated breath and looks positive. From trailer to the songs, all have been promoted well and there has been a fantastic pre-release buzz. Being a non-holiday Friday, the film is expected to earn something between Rs 25-27 crore. Clocking around 3500 screens, everything is going well for SRK. His character Bauaa Singh has become a household name because of a well-crafted promotion strategy,'' the trade analyst told indianexpress.com.

However, it will not surpass collection of Aamir Khan-Amitabh Bachchan starrer Thugs of Hindostan, which collected Rs 52.25 crore on Day 1. On a related note, Sanju opened with Rs. 34.75 crore whereas Race 3 earned Rs 29.17 crore on day 1.

Zero's success also depends on Aanand L Rai, who is known for successfully establishing emotional connect with the audience through his films. If he manages to convince audience of Shah Rukh Khan's dwarfism, then Zero will surely turn out to be a game-changer in the star's career.

Earlier, talking about the film Aanand L Rai said, "The film is about incompleteness of any form - be it emotional or physical. But it has nothing to do with happiness. The film is about 'let's celebrate life in any form'. This film makes me feel very dreamy. "I being on wheelchair can be a happier person than you. It is about accepting all the flaws and weaknesses and celebrate life. It is about romancing life not surviving. Don't survive... live.''
