Zero Box Office Collection Day 7: Shah Rukh Khan starrer Anand L Rai's film Zero to not reach Rs 100 crore-club
Shah Rukh Khan’s Zero, though highly-anticipated, opened to mixed reviews among the audience on December 21. The film Zero earned Rs 20 crore at the domestic box office on its opening. The family entertainer helmed by Aanand L Rai was expected to shoot up in numbers on Christmas, since it was a holiday. But to our surprise, the rise wasn’t impressive enough to make the film jump places in the box office race.
Speaking of Zero's story, it is a complicated love triangle between a vertically challenged man (Shah Rukh Khan), a scientist suffering from cerebral palsy (Anushka Sharma) and an actress battling alcoholism after a heartbreak (Katrina Kaif).
Even the numerous special appearances by Sridevi, Salman Khan, Alia Bhatt, Karisma Kapoor, Juhi Chawla, Deepika Padukone, Rani Mukerji, Kajol and others have not managed to save the film at the box office.
On the seventh day of its run in theatres, Shah Rukh Khan’s Zero saw a decrease in box office collection. The film earned around Rs 6 crore at the box office on Wednesday and it earned around Rs 4 crore on Thursday.
Made on the budget of around Rs 200 crore, now the question stands will Shah Rukh Khan’s Zero make it up its budget or not.
Anyway, talking of Shahrukh Khan's professional front, he will be next seen in Rakesh Sharma's biopic Salute.
