Superstar Shah Rukh Khan who is gearing up for the release of his upcoming film ‘Raees’ recently revealed the importance of female characters in the movie. The actor, who can make women go week in knees, said that ladies played an important role in shaping ‘Raees’.
SRK, while talking to a leading daily, unveiled that though his character in the film is a gangster, women of his locality were still not scared of him. In fact, the ladies have helped Miya Bhai’s character in the film. He further added that it was not only Mahira’s character but also other ladies present in movies gave perfect shape to ‘Raees’.
SRK said, “He's helped a lot by the women in the mohalla, and though he is a criminal, they are not scared of him.”
This surely indicated that Pakistani actress will be having a full–fledged presence in the movie, and will not be sidelined by SRK’s charm.
He added, “There is a scene where he is seen chatting and joking with them. In their own subtle way, they stand by him. I am not talking about just the leading actress, but also the other female characters.”
The actor further revealed that in all of his movies, the actresses had played an important part, and he believes that female directors narrate stories in more sensitive way.
Directed by Rahul Dholakiya, ‘Raees’ is slated to release on January 25, and will lock horns with Hrithik Roshan’s ‘Kaabil’. Besides Shah Rukh and Mira, ‘Raees’ also features Nawazuddin Siddiqui.
