Actor Akshay Kumar is undoubtedly one of the finest actors of Bollywood. From raising awareness about Swachh Baharat Abhiyan with Toilet: Ek Prem Katha to talking about menstrual hygiene in his upcoming film Pad Man, the actor is addressing issues that are considered taboo in the society. As Pad Man is all set to hit the screens on February 9, the stars have started accepting and passing Pad man challenge under which B-town celebs are seen posing with sanitary pads.
They are doing this just to tell people that periods are normal, and people should not be ashamed of sanitary napkins. From Akshay Kumar to Deepika Padukone, many stars have extended their support to the film.
It is yet to be seen if Pad Man manages to cast spell on the movie buffs. The trailer of the film received positive response from the movie buffs and needless to say, Akshay is that ‘pagla’ superhero that this society needs.
Along with Akshay, the film also features Sonam Kapoor and Radhika Apte. The film was earlier scheduled to hit the screens on January 25 but after Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s request, the release date was pushed to February 9 to avoid clash with Padmaavat.
The movie will fight the box office battle with Sidharth Malhotra starrer Aiyaary.
