Actress Deepika Padukone is currently enjoying the best phase of her professional life with back to back hits. The gorgeous lady is presently shooting for Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s magnum opus ‘Padmavati’ and if some reports are to be believed, the dimpled beauty had charged a whopping amount of Rs 13 crore for ‘Padmavati’, thus becoming the highest paid actress in Bollywood.
But, as per the latest hearsay, Deepika’s top competitor Kangana Ranaut has raced ahead by hiking her fees to Rs 15 crore.
Now this is known to all that the actresses have had a cold war in the past and both Deepika and Kangana have taken a jibe at each other. Previously, when Kangana was asked to give her reaction on Deepika being the highest paid actress, the lady refused to give her opinion.
However, things were fine between the two till some time back. So much so that when Deepika won a best actress award, she dedicated it to the ‘Queen’ actress. But, Kangana didn’t seem much pleased with the gesture as she then revealed in front of the media that she got calls from many stars who appreciated her performance but not from Deepika. Later, the ‘Tamasha’ actress had a talk with her and cleared everything out.
But, now if this fees hike report turns out to be true, then Kangana will become the highest paid Bollywood actress defeating Deepika in the battle, making way for another probable cold war.
On the work front, Deepika is gearing up for the release of her upcoming Hollywood debut ‘xXx: Return of Xander Cage’ whereas Kangana will next be seen in Vishal Bhardwaj’s directorial venture ‘Rangoon’ alongside Shahid Kapoor and Saif Ali Khan.
