According to a report published in an entertainment website, Katrina Kaif was the first choice to play the female lead in Salman Khan’s Sultan. But, the lady denied the offer as her then beau Ranbir Kapoor was apparently not comfortable with the idea of Kat working with her ex (Salman). Though unfortunately, their relationship couldn’t go very far.

After Katrina rejected the role it went to Anushka Sharma, who accepted the ‘big offer’ without any second thoughts. And coincidently, there were various reports of Anushka signing ‘Sultan’ being one of the biggest reasons behind her break-up with Virat Kohli.
The star cricketer had clearly told Anushka NOT to sign Sultan opposite Salman Khan as he wanted her to slow down with the movies and shift her attention to domesticity.
Anushka, who was celebrating this big step, first thought he was joking, but she soon realized that this is how he wanted things to be. This, reportedly, made the actress rethink the entire situation and make the call to separate from her boyfriend of around 2-3 years.
It seems ‘Sultan’ is not very lucky for the love lives of these two leading Bollywood ladies.
