After winning appreciation for his performance in last release ‘31st October’, actor Vir Das has surprised the audience with his yet another never seen before role.
Vir, who is known for portraying comic roles, was seen in a grey shade in his upcoming short film ‘Raakh’ and the actor left no stone unturned to bring the best out of him for his role.
The comedian-turned-actor has stated that while he expolored every possible material for his negative role, he ended up taking insipiration from the characters Hannibal and Joker from ‘Batman’ series.
“ I absolutely loved for their ease of portrayal as the bad and anti-hero. Just their conviction on screen when I saw them, was enough to draw inspiration from them for 'Raakh'”, Vir said.
However, he also admitted the fact that bringing out a villain in him was a liitle difficult not because he was doing such kind of role for the first time, but because he wanted his performance to be convincing enough fo the audience.
“The audience should be convinced that I can display a range as an actor”, he added.
Directed by Milaap Zaveri, ‘Raakh’ is a revenge drama also features Richa Chadha and Shaad Randhawa.
