The Tamil film Vikram Vedha starring R. Madhavan and Vijay Sethupathi has become one of the most talked about films in the industry. On this note, superstar Rajinikanth can’t stop praising the film. The actor described the crime thriller a mass film made with so much class.Released in cinemas last week, the film has turned out to be a blockbuster, earning praise from critics and audiences alike.

Inspired from the popular folklore Vikram Betaal, its morality riddles are applied to a police-gangster backdrop.In its opening weekend in Tamil Nadu, the film grossed over Rs 10 crore and continues to go houseful in cinemas.

Produced by Sashikanth, the film also stars Kathir, Shraddha Srinath and Varalaxmi Sarath Kumar. Vikram Vedha is inspired by the folk tale of Vikramaditya. The main characters are touted to be derived from the tale. The film is written and directed by Pushkar and Gayathri and produced by Sashikanth. The cast also includes Varalakshmi, Shraddha Srinath and Kathir playing supporting roles. The music is scored by Sam C.S.

Meanwhile, Rajinikanth will be seen in 2.0, which also stars actor Akshay Kumar and Amy Jackson. The movie is slated to release next year. In Kaala Karikaalan, the actor will share the screen space with Nana Patekar. The remaining portions of the film will be shot after July in Chennai.

Kaala reunites Rajinikanth and Kabali director Pa. Ranjith. The film, which also stars Huma Qureshi, Anjali Patil, Pankaj Tripathi, Samuthirakani and Sakshi Aggarwal, is being bankrolled by actor-producer Dhanush.
