The wait for the much-anticipated Uri trailer is finally coming to an end. The Manmarziyaan actor Vicky Kaushal, who is playing the role of an Army officer in Uri, revealed that the trailer will be launched on December 5. Uri: The Surgical Strike is a film based on the famous surgical strike which was carried out by Indian army after the ambush attack in Uri. Earlier, Vicky Kaushal shared a picture bearing the caricature of his character in the film. He also announced that the trailer will be launched soon.
Film critic and trade analyst Taran Adarsh announced the news on his Twitter. He wrote, “Trailer on 5 Dec... #Uri - The Surgical Strike stars Vicky Kaushal, Paresh Rawal and Yami Gautam... Directed by Aditya Dhar... Produced by Ronnie Screwvala... 11 Jan 2019 release... #UriTrailer”
The film also has Yami Gautam in an important role for which the beautiful actress chopped her hair off into a lob hairstyle. Also, it will be second time when Vicky Kaushal will play the role of an Army officer in a feature film. Earlier, he essayed the role of Alia Bhatt’s husband in Raazi, who was also an Army officer.
Uri will be special in my career: Yami Gautam
Uri is a movie based on the surgical strike conducted by the Indian Army in September 2016 after 19 Indian men were killed by four militants at Uri base camp in Kashmir. It is claimed to be the deadliest attack on security forces in Kashmir in two decades. To send across a message, Indian Army carried out surgical strikes on the terror hubs across the LOC.
Directed by Aditya Dhar and produced by RSVP movies, Uri is scheduled to release on January 11, 2019.
