Veere Di Wedding and Bhavesh Joshi box office collection
Veere Di Wedding featuring actresses Kareena Kapoor Khan, Sonam Kapoor, Shikha Talsania and Swara Bhasker is doing well at the box office. The movie that opened to Rs 10.70 cr, has witnessed growth on its second day. Veere Di Wedding raked in Rs 12.25 cr on Saturday and the total collection of the film now stands at Rs 22.95 cr. Trade analyst Taran Adarsh shared the figures on social media.
Taran took to micro-blogging site Twitter and wrote, “#VeereDiWedding witnesses an UPWARD TREND on Day 2... Sun biz is expected to be in double digits too... Weekend should comfortably close at ₹ 35 cr+, as per trends... Fri 10.70 cr, Sat 12.25 cr. Total: ₹ 22.95 cr. India biz.”
The numbers are expected to increase in coming days. Veere Di Wedding has been in the limelight ever since its trailer was released. The unfiltered conversation between four females looked interesting. It was Kareena’s comeback movie post Taimur Ali Khan’s birth and it seemed that the actress has once again proved that she is in the industry to break the stereotypes.
On the other hand, Harshvardhan Kapoor starrer Bhavesh Joshi Superhero opened on a low note and raked the business of only 0.35 crore which was way lower than his debut movie Mirzya (2.20 crores). On Saturday, with good word of mouth it saw decent growth in footfalls and bagged 0.40 crore. This raised its 2 days total collection to 0.75 crores at the domestic box office.
