Actor Varun Dhawan, who is currently occupied with the work of his upcoming film Judwaa 2, was recently called ‘privileged’ by a journalist during an interview. This didn’t go down well with the actor and he revealed an incident when his father David Dhawan got him kicked out of a film. The handsome hunk stated that he secretly auditioned for superstar Aamir Khan’s Dhobi Ghat but his father thought that he was not ready for the silver screen. Thus, he got him thrown out of it.
After Varun was not selected, his role went to Prateik Babbar. From making his debut with filmmaker Karan Johar’s Student of the Year to playing a challenging role in Badlapur, Varun has come a long way. In fact, the actor has not given a single flop till now in his Bollywood career.
Despite being a star kid, the star worked to carve his niche in Bollywood. His last film Badrinath Ki Dulhania entered the coveted Rs 100 crore club.
On the work front, Varun will be seen romancing Jacqueline Fernandez and Taapsee Pannu in Judwaa 2. The project is directed by his father David. He will also team up with Anushka Sharma for the first time in Sui Dhaaga- Made in India. The project will be bankrolled by Yash Raj Films.
