Bollywood actors Varun Dhawan, Jacqueline Fernandez and Taapsee Pannu-starrer Judwaa 2 continues to woo audience and has successfully entered 200 crore club. The movie helmed by David Dhawan crossed Rs 200 crore mark in 16 days, makers claimed.
Released on September 29, the David Dhawan directorial is a reboot of the 1997 Salman Khan-starrer Judwaa.The action-comedy, backed by Fox Star Studios and Sajid Nadiadwala, minted Rs 2.65 crore on Saturday, taking its net box office collection to Rs 130.21 crore in India. The total worldwide gross box office collection of the film now stands at Rs 203.33 crore, read a statement issued on behalf of the makers.
Varun has brought back to celluloid the iconic characters Prem and Raja played by Salman in "Judwaa". Jacqueline and Taapsee slipped into the shoes of actresses Karisma Kapoor and Rambha respectively. According to makers, Judwaa 2 has become the third Bollywood film in 2017 to cross the Rs 200 crore mark worldwide after Shah Rukh Khan's Raees and Akshay Kumar-starrer Toilet: Ek Prem Katha.
Besides, Judwaa 2 minted Rs 16.10 crore at the Indian box office on the opening day, hence becoming the fourth biggest opener of 2017. So far, Badrinath Ki Dulhania was the highest grossing movie for Varun but Judwaa 2 smashed all records.
