The Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol starrer My Name is Khan has completed 9 years today. The film, directed by Karan Johar, is one of the most memorable movies which left deep impact in fans. As the movie has clocked 9 years today, Varun Dhawan has shared a throwback picture revealing how the SRK starrer changed his life.
Varun Dhawan, who will be seen next in Street Dancer opposite Shraddha Kapoor, was one of the assistant directors in My Name is Khan. On the film’s 9 year completion, the actor shared a picture featuring himself, Sidharth Malhotra, Kalank director Abhishek Varman and Karan Johar.
“#9YearsOfMNIK a film I learnt soo much on. It practically changed my life. Also this is the only picture I have where @abhivarman is smiling. Thank u @karanjohar”, Varun Dhawan captioned the picture.
To which, Karan Johar replied, “So many brilliant memories I have !! Specially of you signing autographs when you were an AD ( not a star) and of SID’s stoic silences in the face of adversity!!! And ofcourse of @abhivarman smiling!! A rare sight!!!!”
The filmmaker also took to Twitter and said, “#9YearsOfMyNameIsKhan ...I feel so blessed to have been able to tell this story....thank you for creating it @ShibaniWrites ....and thank you @iamsrk for living the role of Rizwan so beautifully and brilliantly... thank you @KajolAtUN for your eyes...your silences and more”.
