'Dishoom' makers spend Rs 3 crores on an action sequence, making it Bollywood’s costliest one

New Delhi: This latest information about the upcoming flick ‘Dishoom’ will blow your mind and you might be compelled to watch the movie. If reports are to be believed, the makers of this John Abraham and Varun Dhawan starrer invested a whooping amount of Rs 3 crores in one action scene.

With this amount of money put in, this particular scene in Dishoom becomes the costliest action scene in Bollywood.

The aforementioned scene is the one which you might have seen in the trailer involving a helicopter. Apparently, it is not the costliest but also the longest chase sequence in a Hindi film. It is being said that the sequence clocks 11-12 minutes.

Now, you may be wondering what is so special about this scene that it burnt such a huge hole in the maker’s pockets. Well, the said scene was shot in Morocoo which added up to the cost. Not only this, most of the crew members involved in the scene were trained fighters and special attention was given to safety of each one of them.

Media reports also have it thy many choppers were stationed to capture John and Varun on the helicopter with perfection.

Well, looks like the makers wanted nothing short of perfect in this scene.

In Dishoom, Varun plays the role of Junaid, a local cop in Emirates while John will be seen in the avatar of a special task officer who goes by the name of Kabir. The story revolves around their journey to free India’s top batsman, Viraj who gets abducted 36 hours before the semi finals of a tournament. The movie is helmed by Varun’s brother Rohit Dhawan and will hit theatres on July 29.
