Varun Dhawan will be appearing in two films- Sui Dhaaga and October, in which he’ll be essaying two contrasting roles. In October, Varun stepped into the shoes of a Delhi man while the film narrates the story about love without expectations. For Sui Dhaaga, the Judwaa 2 actor has been working hard. Recently, the official handle of the film revealed how Varun cycled for 10 hours straight with Anushka Sharma riding pillion. Now, we hear that Shoojit Sircar made the lead actor Varun Dhawan go through some rigorous drills to make him get into the skin of his character.
A DNA report has claimed that Varun Dhawan was asked not to sleep for an entire week. He was required to look sleep-deprived and dishevelled for his character in the film. Shoojit, who is known for maintaining the realism in his film, asked Varun not to use any makeup and look natural. He told the young actor to deprive himself of sleep and get a maximum of 2 hours sleep in a day to attain the look.
Filmmaker Shoojit Sircar himself confirmed the report and said, “Yes I usually do this with many of my actors, used this during PINK as well. A couple of scenes with Varun required extensive emotional burst-outs, a performance that showed him quite exhausted. Depth and weight in his overall demeanour and eyes, coupled with a tired voice, so I asked him to not sleep at night prior to the scenes."
October is Shoojit Sircar’s first film with Varun Dhawan which stars newbie Banita Sandhu in lead role. The film is expected to be release in April this year.
