Telly actress Alka Kaushal, who played very prominent rules in some of the popular TV shows has been sentenced to two years of imprisonment following a case of bounced cheque and her brother and TV actor Varun Badola has broken his silence on the matter. He stated that Alka and his mother have been trapped by a fraud and they were shown as criminals in the court. He added that they are going to appeal the higher courts against the verdict.
Varun revealed to a leading daily that the news in media about the verdict is right but they are going to fight against the decision of the court. The actor added that he can’t reveal much details as the case is under jurisdiction.
If reports are to be believed, Advocate Sukhbir Singh stated that Alka and her mother borrowed 50 Lakhs from an acquaintance named Avtar Singh for serial-making. When Avtar asked for his money, he was given two cheques of 25 Lakhs each, which got bounced. After this happened, Avtar filed a case in Malerkotla court against Alka and her mother.
Alka is a popular face of small screen and she has also played the mother to popular TV actresses Kareena Kapoor Khan and Kangana Ranaut in Bajrangi Bhaijaan and Queen respectively. Varun has also been part of some famous TV shows like Des Mein Nikla Hoga Chand, Mere Angne Mein, Tumhari Paakhi and more.
