Actress Vidya Balan starrer Tumhari Sulu is receiving positive response from the movie buffs. People are heaping praises on the actress for beautifully portraying the role of an ambitious ‘aam aurat’. The film took a decent start at the box office. It earned Rs 2.87 cr on its opening day and after three days the total collection of the film now stands at Rs 12.87 cr. The film minted Rs 4.61 cr on Saturday and Rs 5.39 cr on Sunday. The numbers were shared by trade analyst Taran Adarsh on social media.
Taran took to micro-blogging site Twitter and tweeted, “#TumhariSulu had a SUPER-STRONG weekend... Showed SUPER trending... Fri 2.87 cr, Sat 4.61 cr, Sun 5.39 cr. Total: ₹ 12.87 cr. India biz.”
It is yet to be seen if the film manages to earn good numbers in coming days.
Tumhari Sulu narrates the story of a house wife and her transformation to an RJ. Along with Vidya, the movie also features Manav Kaul, Neha Dhupia and RJ Malishka in pivotal roles. The release date of the film was changed in order to avoid the clash with Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Padmavati, which was earlier set to be released on December 1.
