Superstar Salman Khan’s Tubelight, one of the most awaited films of the year, is all set to hit the screens tomorrow. With Eid round the corner and the cameo of superstar Shah Rukh Khan in the film, there are chances that Tubelight will break many records. This is known to all that Salman’s most of the films were released on Eid and they shattered the box office records. But, this year many festivals were dominated by Bollywood films. The makers consider this a success formula to release the films during the festivals.
Tubelight (Eid)
Before Tubelight, Salman’s many films Bajrangi Bhaijaan, Sultan, Kick and Ek The Tiger were also released on Eid. Bhaijaan’s fans made them blockbusters. Prem Ratan Dhan Payo was released on Diwali. Now, we are waiting to see the numbers of the Tubelight.
Jab Harry Met Sejal (Raksha Bandhan)
Shah Rukh Khan and Anushka Sharma starrer Jab Harry Met Sejal is set to release on Raksha Bandhan weekend. The festival will be celebrated on August 7 and the Imtiaz Ali’s directorial venture is releasing on August 4. The extended weekend will help in the business of the film.
Raees and Kaabil (Republic Day)
The year started with the clash of two big projects, Shah Rukh Khan’s Raees and Hrithik Roshan’s Kaabil. Both the films released during The Republic Day. The makers of the films thought that the holiday is going to be beneficial. Thus, the clash was not averted. Both the movies entered the coveted Rs 100 crore club.
Badrinath Ki Dulhania (Holi)
Actors Varun Dhawan and Alia Bhatt starrer Badrinath Ki Dulhania was released on Holi. The movie received great response from the audiences and made a smashing entry to Rs 100 crore club.
