Songs are an important part of our lives and, this year there were some really good songs that were loved to the fullest. Google has released a series of nine lists called Year in Search 2017. Among these is a list on the songs that were trending in India in 2017, and Hindi film’s Mubarakan’s Hawa Hawa has topped this list! The song is a remake of an older song by the same name, and was quite a hit among the audiences. 

Here are the top 10 most searched songs in Google in 2017. Did your favourite track make it to the list? Let’s find out.

Hawa Hawa

This song, from the film Mubarakan featuring Arjun Kapoor and Ileana D'Cruz was a huge hit and has garnered over 100 million views on YouTube. It has been sung by Mika Singh and Prakriti Kakar. This song is a remake of the 1980s hit track sung by Pakistani artist Hasan Jahangir.

Mere Rashke Qamar

This song, from the film Baadshaho, has crossed over 135 million views on YouTube. The romantic song has a beautiful classical touch to it and makes for a melodious listening. No wonder then that it made it to the top 10 songs of 2017. 

Despacito

Voiced by Luis Fonsi and Daddy Yankee, Despacito was nothing short of a frenzy in India and also several parts of the world. From Indian versions of the song to Indians attempting to sing the Spanish song, the internet saw several cover versions. 

Dil Diyan Gallan

Tiger Zinda Hai’s Dil Diyan Gallan which was released a few days ago has made it to number four of the top 10 trending songs of 2017.  The track marks the return of the hit pair of Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif. Sung by Atif Aslam, this romantic song from Tiger Zinda hai has close to 4 crore views on YouTube.

Raabta

Featuring Sushant Singh Rajput and Kriti Sanon in lead roles, the song won hearts everywhere. Arijit Singh and Nikita Gandhi have sung the latest version that has been picturised on Deepika Padukone, who starred as a special cameo in the song.

Ding Dang

Tiger Shroff and Nidhi Agerwal starrer Munna Michael failed to impress the audience at the box-office. However, its Ding Dang song was one of the huge hits of 2017. The song is peppy and, Tiger’s dance moves are spot on.

Kaabil

Hrithik Roshan and Yami Gautam’s Kaabil, which is one of the hit movies of the year, is known for its romantic title track. The song showcases the love story of Hrithik and Yami, who find joy in each other's company and in the small pleasures of life, never letting their blindness be a hindrance to a life full of possibilities. 

Shape of You

Another foreign language song that made it to the list is Ed Sheeran’s Shape of You. The dancehall-infused pop song was written and produced by Ed Sheeran and Steve Mac, along with additional writing contributions from Johnny McDaid, Kandi Burruss, Tameka "Tiny" Cottle, and Kevin "She'kspere" Briggs.

Mubarakan

Not only did Hawa Hawa emerge as the number 1 most searched songs in 2017, the film’s title track Mubarakan also made it to the list. The song features Anil Kapoor, Arjun Kapoor, Athiya Shetty and Ileana D'Cruz in swanky avatars.

Mile Ho Tum Humko

The song, from the film Fever starring Gauhar Khan and Rajeev Khandelwal in the lead roles, is extremely melodious with great lyrics.
