Veteran actor Tom Alter is battling stage four of cancer, according to reports. The Padma Shri awardee is admitted to Mumbai’s Saifee Hospital from last one week.
According to a media report, Tom was admitted to hospital after he felt unwell just before his theatre performance. The family members of Tom informed that he is under treatment at hospital.
Meanwhile, Tom’s family members had also asked to maintain privacy during the treatment. Tom, who is also known for his works in theatre, formed a theatre group titled Motley Productions in 1977 with Bollywood actor Naseeruddin Shah and Benjamin Gilani.
Tom has worked in popular TV shows like Bharat Ek Khoj, Captain Vyom, Shaktimaan. He has also worked in films like Shatranj Ke Khiladi, Parinda, Kranti and many others.
Some reports are saying that the actor has bone cancer, however, we could not confirm the same.
