Tigmanshu Dhulia, popular for directing films like Paan Singh Tomar and Sahib, Biwi aur Gangster, is once again back with a patriotic film Raag Desh. Interestingly, the trailer of Raag Desh starring Kunal Kapoor, Amit Sadh and Mohit Marwah was released in India’s Parliament today in the presence of producer Gurdeep Singh Sappal, and CEO of UFO moviez Rajesh Mishra.

The film Raag Desh depicts about the popular Red Fort trials, which even affected the course of Azaadi Movement. The film Raag Desh will basically highlight the incident in which the three officers including Prem Sehgal, Gurbaksh Dhillon and Shah Nawaz were martialized for being disloyal to British ruler.

In Raag Desh, Mohit will be seen playing the character of Colonel Prem Sehgal, while Amit Sadh and Kunal Kapoor will be portraying Colonel Gurbaksh Singh Dhillon, and Major General Shah Nawaz Khan respectively.

Giving an insight into the story of Raag Desh, Dhulia said, "Being a student of history, it was fascinating for me to know that we did not get our freedom by dialogue and negotiation that we have been reading for so long... It's not."

"We all know that the winner writes the history. In this film, I explored the contribution of the INA in our freedom movement. But no, to kill everyone's interest, Raag Desh does not deal with Bose's mysterious death," he said.

The film is presented by Rajyasabha TV and is scheduled to release on July 28, 2017.
