Tiger Zinda Hai Box Office Collection Day 3: Salman Khan’s high-octane drama enters 100-crore club

Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif’s high-octane action drama Tiger Zinda Hai continues to entertain the audience on its third day as well. The Ali Abbas Zafar-directorial took the box office by storm. And not only BO, the film has proved its mettle among the film critics as well, who gave TZH a thumbs up for being a total entertainer. After making a humongous first day collection Rs 34.10 crore at the box office, Tiger Zinda Hai minted Rs 42 crore on Sunday, pushing the film into the 100-crore club. The overall estimated weekend collection is approximately Rs 110.75 crore.

It is one of the biggest opening weekends ever for a Hindi language film. Tiger Zinda Hai broke Salman Khan’s film Sultan’s opening day record of Rs 105 crore. The two films are however incomparable. But a comparison lies in the fact that Sultan released a day before Eid whereas Tiger Zinda Hai opened on a traditional Friday-Sunday weekend.

Tiger Zinda Hai made a place for itself in the list of ‘Biggest Openers of the Year 2017”. It lands on the second place with Baahubali 2 still topping the charts.

Salman Khan’s Tiger Zinda Hai defeated Aamir Khan’s Dangal that minted Rs 41.29 crore on its third day of release. It is estimated to easily cross the 200-crore mark in the coming week. Christmas festivities will certainly add up to its business and the fact that no other Bollywood movie has released recently, is a cherry on the cake.

Tiger Zinda Hai is doing fairly well but it has to maintain its pace so as to avoid putting Salman Khan into the same position as he was in during Tubelight. But it is evident that Dabanng Khan made a marvellous comeback after his Tubelight debacle earlier this year.
