On the occasion of International Tiger Day, actor Tiger Shroff has written to Environment Minister asking to focus on protecting tigers in their natural habitat. July 29 is seen as Internatonal Tiger Day and the ‘Baaghi’ star put forward his request to Minister Anil Dave.
In his letter, sent on behalf of People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) India, the "Heropanti" star writes:
"I know environmental issues are important to you, as they are to me. I join my friends at People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) India in hoping that under your leadership, we will see the government focuses its conservation efforts toward protecting India's remaining forests and bringing in additional measures to safeguard tigers and other animals in our precious jungles".
The actor, who had previously sponsored a female tiger in a zoo, also points out that the place where tigers really need protection is in their natural homes, where they have ample space to roam and can spend time with their families, read a statement.
