Filmmaker Karan Johar recently made many headlines after his shocking revelations in his autobiography ‘An Unsuitable Boy’. Now, the actor was asked about working with Pakistani actor Fawad Khan again, and his answer clearly hinted at a big no.
The Oscar-winning documentary filmmaker Sharmeen Obaid stated to the ace director present at the World Economic Forum that in future she would like to see him again collaborating with Fawad. Being careful with his words the director said he didn’t want to experience things that he felt during the release of ‘Ae Dil Hai Mushkil’. Karan further said that he felt weak that time and now he just wants to feel creatively liberated.
Karan said, “I never want to go through what I went through again. Neither the situation, the circumstances, nor the apology. None of that is what made me feel comfortable. I felt weak, vulnerable, victimised, and as a filmmaker, I don't want to feel that.”
The director also praised Fawad saying that he is a terrific actor. He further added that he has great respect for Fawad’s talent and hoped that the actor will get the best platform.
After the massive Uri attack, film industry association put the ban on Pakistani artists. Thus, Karan’s film ‘ADHM’ came under radar due to the presence of Fawad in a prominent role. It was being said that the release of the film will get stalled.
Karan then shared a video in which he requested for the smooth release of the flick and also promised not to work with the artist of neighbouring country in future.
Well, now as Karan is quite clear about what he wants to do in future, this is little disappointing for Fawad’s fan.
